Jonathan Mostow directs co-screenwriters Michael Ferris and John Brancato's adaptation of the graphic novel by author Robert Venditti and illustrator Brett Weldele.
This is my summary of the film without spoilers.
Close in the upcomming distance, beings will live by thierselves and only socialize through surrogate bodies that serve as robots. After a few humans get killed from when the surrogate gets killed, a FBI agent gets called out to investigate the crimes through his own surrogate. But if as fate should have it the FBI agent has his own near death experience his surrogate was ruined and it made him come out of isolation and uncover a conspiracy about the killings.
